FIRST CONTACT... WHEN AND HOW WILL IT HAPPEN?

Lately I’ve been kicking around the idea of “full disclosure” and "first contact". My thoughts have been floating around how this would be done. With all of the evidence I’ve seen, I believe that many different races of “aliens” have been to Earth and some even living among us for a long time. There’s so much evidence of these visitors having been here (at least in the past), that it’s hard to ignore facts, when they leave a trail this huge. For just a few simple examples, look up Puma Punku, Nazca Lines, Sumerian Texts, Anunaki and finally the Dogon tribesmen of Mall, West Africa. There are literally hundreds of other examples I could site, but learning about the few I mentioned here should keep you busy for a while.

I know that some of you are likely rolling your eyes by now, but you can’t discount the thousands of reports from very credible people like state troopers, pilots, air traffic controllers… you know… people who’ve been trained to spot frauds and fakes. Even former president Ronald Reagan openly spoke about a UFO sighting he had, when he was the governor of California. What about people from our history books?

As one example, Christopher Columbus wrote in his journal about having seen lights come out of the Atlantic Ocean, which looked to be in the shape of a Menorah, and seemingly follow along with his ships for a while. He even took a ton of heat from the Vatican for having the audacity to describe what he saw. In fairness though, he was more likely disciplined for having said that the UFO seemed to be in the shape of a Menorah, rather than having spotted a UFO.

With that said… I think that aliens are still here today, but how do the governments come out and tell this to their people? For example, the U.S. government has been covering up UFO’s for so long, that they can’t just come out and say “Well… these being have been here all along, but we now think that you’re ready to see and hear the truth, so here it is…” No, it can’t happen this way, even if there are more and more governments around the planet who’re starting to leak UFO related information to their people. Our government is way beyond that point. So… how would “they” likely go about it?

With a little research into the past, it’s easy to see how mankind is being prepared to be a part of some sort of galactic community. In the past, aliens have been referred to as Angels or Demons. They’ve also been called “gods” and creators of life. With their superior technology, they must have been at least a few thousand years ahead of us. While we were just figuring out how to make a spear, they’d already been mining our planet’s resources for centuries, if not a few millennia. But, things are different now. We’re no longer the superstitious monkeys we used to be. Well… many of us still are, but as a whole, mankind is getting beyond that superstitious nonsense and embracing science, to search for answers, rather than made up stories from the past, by a bunch of people who tried, but couldn’t explain what was going on around them.

Picture
When I compare the recent past to the present, what I see is progress in indoctrination. For example… in the mid 80’s, around 40% of high school students believed in extraterrestrial life (life outside Earth). A recent poll shows that over 90% of today’s high school kids believe in extraterrestrial life. That’s a huge jump! What caused this? For starters science fiction movies have gotten really good, thanks to directors like Stephen Spielberg, George Lucas James Cameron, Ridley Scott and the like. There have been countless TV shows like Star Trek, which also helped to indoctrinate the young minds and we can't leave out all of those cool video games, where we're facing possible annihilation by some alien invasion force. But all of that cool sci-fi stuff aside, science and the advancement in space related technologies is probably one of the biggest and best contributors in the spike of the belief in extraterrestrials.

We’ve been able to search the cosmos and learn about our surroundings at a rate never before seen by human beings. We’ve discovered a number of Earth-like planets, which orbit around their own Sun and sometimes Suns. We've finally been able to detect Black Holes, and learned that every Galaxy has a super massive one in its center. We’ve been able to study our Universe’s past by looking way back, to around the time of the Big Bang. The only thing we’ve not yet “found” is life… but I think that we live in exciting times, and we’ll have our answers with in the next 50 years. Here’s one scenario of how I see the discovery of intelligent life playing out.

NASA will be back and operating in space, with their own crafts, come 2018. They have a few more missions planned to Mars, and there’s even serious talk of a manned mission to the Red Planet. I think that during one of these missions, they’ll find proof of life and perhaps even life itself. If it’s alive, it’ll likely be in microbial form, but none the less… it’ll still be life.

It takes about 1 generation to get used to new ideas, so… if NASA finds life on Mars, that’s great. If not, they can always plant it there and say… “A-ha! We found proof of life!” Remember… these intelligent aliens we’re eventually going to find, have likely been here for thousands of years, in one way or another.

Even if at first we only discover fossils, it will undoubtedly change the way human beings will see themselves. Will it bring about world peace? Likely not, but once those morons (the ones who can’t handle proof of life some where other than Earth, because it shakes their very fragile and humanist belief system) commit suicide, humans will calm down and accept the fact that we’re NOT alone. Right now we might think or believe that we’re not alone, but that’s not the same as actually knowing it.

This “new knowledge” will be taught in all schools around the world as fact, so the next generation of children will grow up not only knowing that life does exist in other places, but most of them will likely be looking forward to the day when we mysteriously discover a planet, which is populated with intelligent life.

Picture
During the time this next generation of children grow into adult hood, we’ll “find” more and more evidence of life not only on Mars, but other places such as Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons, which is made up of liquid water, covered in a thick layer of ice. We could very well find life’s footprints on a comet or meteor, which will pass by our blue planet. We’ll then eventually reach out further and find fossils and/or microbial life in other, nearby solar systems. During all of this time, an entire generation of children will grow up KNOWING that life exists elsewhere, not just here on Earth. This is VERY important because as biologically resilient as we humans can be, we’re every bit as fragile mentally.

Then… seemingly out of no where, S.E.T.I. (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) will become incredibly useful. They will pick up a signal with their massive array of dishes. It’ll likely be something simple at first, but it’ll be consistent, and this message, after it is jumped through all of their screening hoops, will be released to the public.

“THERE IS INTELLIGENT LIFE OUT THERE!” and “IT’S OFFICIAL… WE’RE NOT ALONE!” will be the type of screaming headline we’ll see in every news paper around the world. We’ve been contacted and it’s not a hoax. This will be incredibly exciting and most of the world will cheer. Us average folk have been guided step-by-step to this discovery. We are finally ready for it!

Picture
About another 10 years will go by before these aliens get here. After all… it’s a long journey, even with their far superior technology. The fact that they’ll likely be “friendly” would not come as a surprise to me, since they’ve been here all along, watching us and manipulating our growth and development.

On that day of arrival, mankind will officially change forever, but… their presence, even though seemingly friendly, could be sinister. However… that doesn’t matter. They’re here and humanity will be united, if even for a short term, in an effort to put on our best face for our space traveling brothers and sisters.
Here’s a possible timeline I see for all of this:

2020-2025…Life is discovered by NASA and/or all of the world’s space agencies.

2045 (give or take a few years)… S.E.T.I. will pick up an intelligent signal and through subspace technology (given to us by the same aliens who initially signaled us… and… errr… live among us as we speak) we will begin a dialogue, to “learn about and better understand” each other. We will likely exchange photos or other forms of images, which will become public and taught to us in schools and through television, so that mankind isn’t shocked, when these being finally arrive.

2055 (or there about)…Alien mother-ship arrives and makes official “First Contact” with humans.
2065-2070… Earth will officially become part of some kind of a galactic community and mankind will be forever changed.
Even the Vatican is part of the indoctrination process by telling its people that “Christians should consider alien life as an ‘extraterrestrial brother’ and a part of God's creation” - Jesuit Father Jose Funes, director of the Vatican Observatory.

Yes… we live in exciting times indeed and those who have their head in the sand will have a hard time dealing with such a huge issue, like finding out that we’re not alone in this vast universe. Life is all around us, watching, studying, manipulating and waiting for the right moment to make its presence known. Should these events actually transpire roughly in the manner in which I laid them out, understand that I’m not some kind of a psychic, or fortuneteller, but rather a person who simply studies the past, to get a better and clearer understanding of the future.

With that... cheers! :)

THE DANGERES OF MOVEON.ORG'S ATTEMPT TO CENSOR RUSH LIMBAUGH...

I was sent an email by MoveOn.org, asking me to sign a petition calling on Clear Channel to take Rush Limbaugh off the air. Why? Well, because the loud-mouth radio voice of the Republican Party called a woman a whore. In case you’ve been living under a rock, there’s been an insane debate going on, involving fat middle aged white guys who get to make policy decisions, on government rules requiring employers to offer insurance coverage for contraception. Well… when sex is involved, the shit usually hits the fan in this up-tight country we proudly call the U.S. of A!

On February 23rd, Georgetown law student, Sandra Fluke, testified before an unofficial hearing convened by Democrats. She criticized the health insurance policies of Georgetown, a Jesuit university, saying the school's lack of contraception coverage has a harmful impact on female students. "I'm an American woman who uses contraceptives," she declared.

Well… as in his usual over the top way to make a point, on February 29th, Rush Limbaugh slammed Fluke on his show, claiming that she was asking the government to subsidize her sex life. "What does that make her?" he asked. "It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex."

(The dates and quotes were taken from theweek.com)

This was typical Limbaugh rhetoric, on which he’d created an entire career! The man has made a living making mounds out of mole hills. He has the ability to take any situation, no matter how small and seemingly insignificant, and use it to create a divide between his supporters and his opposition, which usually is anyone with a moderate to liberal point of view.

Rush Limbaugh’s hypocrisy with the entire “do as I say, not as I do” garbage wore thin on me years ago. There was a time, in the early and mid 90’s when I listened to his show with regularity. In fact, I even read one of his books. That was a time before Rush, in my opinion, has gone completely off the deep end. His drug addiction and multiple failed marriages are well documented. We know, that he’s incredibly far from a perfect human being, no matter how much Rush seems to ignore the facts in his own life, but that doesn’t stop him from casting big-ass rocks from his glass house, which stands on rotted wood. In the past he’s often ranted against groups like Planned Parenthood, and personally called people junkies and drug addicts, etc…

Rush Limbaugh has a ton of character flaws, but for all of that, there’s no denying that he has a very successful radio show, because he’s got a gift for stirring up the hornet’s nest. From my point of view, Rush has gotten so “over-the-top”, that he’s just a mere shadow of the man whose radio show I used to listen to in the 90’s. His mouth has gotten louder, but unfortunately the words coming out are ramblings of an insane narcissist.

When I first heard about Rush’s comments regarding Fluke’s testimony, I simply shook my head. I understand what Limbaugh was trying to get at with his usual over the top examples, but there is a classier way to go about it. I couldn’t disagree more with what he said about Ms. Fluke and the way he went about doing it, but I get it. He’s a jack-ass, who found a way to make himself a center piece of the story, which isn’t about him! Now, instead of focusing on the issue, everyone’s talking about Rush Limbaugh and his insensitive comments.

Having said all of that, I could NOT get myself to sign MoveOn.org’s petition, to have Rush Limbaugh removed from the air. THAT IS CENSORSHIP! If I would have signed that petition, I would have gone against every fiber of my core beliefs.

As an artist, “Freedom of Speech” to me is everything! It is as sacred as our rights get! We MUST do everything we can to protect everyone’s right to free speech in America, not just those with whom we agree.

I lived the first 10 years of my life in Romania, under the brutal dictatorship of Nicolae Ceausescu. It was a country where freedom of speech applied to only one man, Ceausescu himself. I remember when my parents had guests over, they had to turn on the record player, sit close to it and whisper ideas to one another, as to not be over heard by our next door neighbors, who were spies for the government.

When we remove anyone because we don't like what he/she said, we are slicing into our own rights and freedoms, one razor cut at a time.

Far be it from me to tell you what you should or should NOT do, but I would encourage all of you to NOT sign the petition, but instead don't listen to Rush's show. If he has no listener-ship, Clear Channel will remove him.

Remember... FREE SPEECH is here to protect the things we don't like or want to hear... not the things said which make us feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Censorship is a very slippery slope. Today… Limbaugh, at some point tomorrow… YOU!

ONE WAY TO BE A RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN OF PLANET EARTH...

10/28/2013

Attila Domos: Posted on Thursday, February 16, 2012 7:30 PM
I jokingly posted this to Facebook:

I’m starting to think that the sentence “Be fruitful and multiply” was taken out of context by that ancient “Jewish liberal media”. After all, I believe a true wise god would likely have said something closer to this… “Be fruitful and multiply, my children… until you’re to the point where you’re starting to over populate your resources. At that point… USE A DAMNED RUBBER!”

The very first response I got was:

Kids are the future of our planet. We should not control the population. We should give parents incentives to have more babies at least here the USA

My response was simple… “WTF???”

It then turned into a giant debate about everything and everything else. It was like cats vs dogs. People were trying to equate using a rubber with the Chinese governments killing of women and children. Wow… some people’s grasp of reality is REALLY screwed up!
Picture
First off, it was a simple joke. Secondly though… there’s definite truth in it. To wrap this up in a simple nut shell, I’ll put it like this.

The planet Earth WILL be downsized, in one way or another. If you need evidence of that, see “China”. Population control there is not only a reality, but a necessary mandate by the government to help control a nation, that… over the centuries… multiplied like rabbits.

For those of you not familiar with the “Georgia Guidestones” (aka the Illuminati’s 10 Commandments), “commandment number 1 says:

 1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

And the rest are also logical…

  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity

  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

It’s hard for me to argue with these “10 guides”. I also don’t have any problems with the Earth’s population being downsized to 500 million. My problem is… how we are going to go about doing it.

There’s no denying the fact that the world’s population has gotten too big. You know things are bad, when we HAVE to genetically modify foods, so we can make enough to feed everyone.

Also… keep in mind that this is a GLOBAL problem, NOT a USA vs the world issue. What happens in China, affects what goes on in the U.S. and vice-versa. Look… if any of the global markets crash, every country is screwed. Like it or not, we ARE a global community. We are all humans, living on the same rock, which orbits the same Sun. These are all of the resources we have (for now) so we have to learn to share and help one another. Sticking one’s head in the sand and whistling “Dixie” isn’t going to make the problem go away.

Overpopulation affects everything, from food supplies to how quickly we suck oil out of the Earth. The more cars on the roads and homes to feed, the more oil is needed. The more oil is needed, the quicker we use up the “easy to drill” oil and then we turn to the “hard to get to” stuff, which makes the price of the crude gold sky rocket. More expensive oil means more expensive gas, which means more expensive food, clothing, shelter, etc… If the world is going to live like the U.S., well… something’s going to have to give. It CAN happen, but in order to do that, we have to bring the planet’s population down to much more manageable numbers.

People are also living much longer than in the past. There used to be a natural balance to things, when plagues, wars and the harshness of life killed most people by the time they reached their 30 birthday. That’s simply not the case anymore. Living to be 100 is not that big of a deal and will increasingly become more and more of the norm.

I guess what I’m trying to say in all of my rambling is that we, as the people of Earth, have to take reproduction into our own hands, before so called “shadowy elements” release some kind of a toxin, that will reach the same goal, but by killing YOUR children and/or grandchildren.

We’re no longer living in a society where people have to have more than two or three children. Once a husband and wife reached that limit, I would highly recommend using a condom, getting a vasectomy or birth control pill. Let’s bring the Earth’s population down to more reasonable numbers by education people about the eminent dangers of an overpopulated planet. Let’s do it under our own terms, before “Big Brother” steps in and mandates it (like in China) or the much worse option… the planet gets downsized due to a bio-engineered virus.

Mankind… the choice is yours.

THE MOST LIKELY OUTCOME FOR 2012 IS...

Tonight’s blog is going to be a very short one. I dread years, like 2012… which come with stupid dooms-day predictions. They’re NEVER correct. We all know the prediction for December 21st, 2012, so I won’t bore you with the details of how the world will come to an end, as we know it. So… with all of this nonsense thriving in people’s brains for the next 11 months (give or take), here’s my BIG prediction.

August… and even more so, September of 2013 will have the biggest spike in child birth around the world in modern recorded history. Pregnancies will be up, but I think that teen pregnancies will be even higher than the norm, because of these stupid 2012 doom and gloom prophecies. Just what this Earth needs, right? More humans sucking up her resources… lol

Even if people aren’t necessarily thinking about it right now, as we near that all so dreadful day of December 21st, there will be more and more media hoopla about it. It’s going to get people thinking, and some even panicking. I’m betting that many teens, who normally might not have sex, will throw caution to the wind, and have not only sex, but unprotected sex, thinking that “Hey… if the world’s about to end, I ain’t goin’ out a virgin!”

There it is… my prediction for the outcome of December 21st, 2012 is... MORE BABIES! All we can hope for is that all of these new babies, who’ll be entering this world in August and September of 2013, will be an enlightened bunch. Would it be asking too much for them to NOT be a bunch of superstitious monkeys… like the humans that occupy the world today? One can only hope… I’m keepin’ my fingers crossed!

SKYNET OR TEENAGERS... WHICH IS A WORSE INFLUENCE?

10/28/2013

Picture
Attila Domos: Posted on Thursday, January 26, 2012 1:24 AM.

I was watching Terminator-2, when something stuck me.

There was a scene where teenaged John Connor, his mom (Sarah) and the T-101 (terminator) were riding in a station wagon. Sarah said something from the back seat, to which the driving T-101 replied “Affirmative”. Teen John Connor then corrected the T-101 and asked if it “Listens to how people talk?” He told the T-101, a cybernetic organism... no doubt the coolest thing anyone could possible have ever seen, to not be such a square. John then gave him a few examples of some hip slang responses like “asta lavista”, “chill out”, “no problemo”, “eat me” and the like.

The T-101 looked almost shocked as it processed this newly acquired information. Teenaged John then continued, and told the T-101 that it could also do “combinations”. The T-101 processed a little longer, then looked young John Connor in the eye and said…“Chill out, dick-wad.”
This made young rebellious Connor proud, like he’d just turned a square, from the future-killing machine, into a hip 90’s bad-boy.

This little moment got me to think.

In the first “Terminator”, there was a scene where the janitor knocked on the door to the motel room where the T-101 was staying. Obviously, the guy must have noticing a foul stench, so he followed up his knock with a classic Hollywood one-liner.

Picture
“Hey buddy, you got a dead cat in there, or what?”

The T-101 paused from reading through a small notebook (possibly Sarah Connor’s diary), slowly turned its head as it processed through some “Possible Response” choices to such a question, and selected the now famous line…

“Fuck you, asshole.”

Among its other choices were…

“Yes/No
”“Or What?”
“Go Away”
“Please come back later”

and…Just a plain“Fuck you”, not a combination (like it’d eventually selected).

First of all, the fact that I’m even breaking this down tells me that, at the moment, I have more time than I should.
Secondly, it made me think.

The first T-101 was sent back by “Skynet”, an evil, (from a human point of view) robot machine creating-super computer, which REALLY hated humans. It obviously had no problem with a foul mouthed terminator, telling people to fuck off. Of course, the janitor got off lucky, because the T-101’s alternative likely was to open fire. But no… our favorite terminator decided to use not only a swear word, but threw it into a combination (Fuck you / Asshole) like teenaged John Connor, a little over a decade later, would tell him to do.

I then wondered… did middle-aged John Connor remove the foul-mouthed combination using program, from the captured T-101’s hard drive, before he sent it back to meet and save himself as a teenager? If he did, well… it was very thoughtful of him. It’s the kind of thing a man in his mid-30’s, early 40’s might do… even if that person himself was as foul mouthed as a drunken sailor, in his teenaged years.

Perhaps middle-aged John saw how uncivilized teen John grew up to be, so he saw fit to attempt to change himself, even if a tad for the better, by sending back a more polite “machine”. Inevitably though, if this IS what he’d tried to do, this little subliminal attempt would have been doomed to fail. The T-101 is an “always learning” machine, which would make it the cybernetic organism equivalent of a teenager. Perhaps he should have programmed into the T-101 some “peer pressure resistance software”.

The conclusion I drew from these two scenes is that teenagers are like “Skynet”. They both think that they are on this Earth to rule it and they’re both excellent at corrupting a young mind… robot or human.
“Bad Skynet… bad!”

Well, that problem’s solved. Now… what will I do for the rest of the night? Hmmmm…

MISSION TO MARS...

I find it very interesting that the Russian mission to Phobos' (one of Mars' two moons) window closes at the same time the NASA mission to Mars leaves.

Near as I can tell... both Russia and the US ARE on planet Earth. Shouldn't the two countries' mission window be the same? Is Mars... some how THAT much closer to the US than to Russia? lol  What is going on up there???

WORSE ROLE MODELS... CELEBRITIES OR POLITICIANS?

I’ve been noticing a trend on Facebook, which seems to mirror real life. When an athlete or entertainer makes a mistake, no matter how great or small that error, detractors jump all over that person, eagerly pointing out the said athlete or entertainer’s flaws. I get that this sort of criticism comes along with wealth and fame, but to me, it only wreaks of envy.

Why would anyone in their right mind expect “perfect behavior” (what ever that means to the individual) from athletes and/or entertainers? I can understand kids thinking that their favorite rock-star, athlete or actor is perfect, but adults? You’ve got to know better. I’ve learned one thing in my 43 years of existence… I’m never surprised when a person… any person… makes a mistake. Hell, I make at least a dozen mistakes every day, before noon! So, do I expect perfection from any human? No, I do not. I do, however, expect better behavior from people in certain lines of work.

All living things are incredibly flawed. It comes with the territory of being a carbon based life form. If no gazelle ever made a mistake, lions would either go hungry or feed on another animal. Mistakes are what life is all about. They are also a great measuring stick of someone’s intelligence. The more a person repeats the same mistake; well… we can deduce that person to be “dumber than the average bear”.
There are also different levels of mistakes. If a person keeps picking the wrong lottery numbers, we consider that to be “unlucky”, but in reality… he’s making a mistake. His intention is NOT to pick the wrong numbers, but he does it anyway. The good news is that by this action, our “unlucky” error maker is only hurting himself.

On the other hand, there are more serious mistakes, for example… drunk driving. We know that it’s wrong to do, but many of us either do it or have done it, anyway. Some of us (for example… me) have done it plenty of times in our younger years, but were “lucky” enough to have never caused an accident. Others aren’t so “lucky”. There are people in this world, who’ve literally driven drunk one time, and got into an accident. The truly unfortunate ones even went a step further and accidentally killed someone, due to their error in judgment.

In many cases, we’re defined by our mistakes. I’m sure every reader can think back into his or her past, and think of at least one mistake each and every one of his/her friends made. We all seem to have the ability to “run other people’s lives perfectly”, but when it comes to our own, the decisions we make always seem to get a bit cloudy. Often we get caught up playing the “what if” or “could have, should have, would have… but didn’t” game.

I stopped caring about what athletes and entertainers do when they’re off the field, stage or movie set, a long time ago. When it comes to athletes, I care about how many touchdowns they throw or run for, or how many goals they score. To me, THAT is an athlete’s value… how well that person entertains me when I’m watching him or his team. If he happens to be a “boy scout” off the field, well… that’s a bonus! Why do I think this way?

Look at it like this. I’m coming up on my mid-40’s and have been fortunate to have lived a pretty full life. It was a life filled with mistakes, but it’s OK because I’ve learned from them. I remember what it’s like to be in my 20’s and to be “on top of the world”. When sexy women are throwing themselves at you, and all the drugs you could ever want is there for your taking, free of charge… well… it CAN very easily give you a “god complex”. The younger and more inexperienced a person is, the easier it is to get caught up in press clippings. Throw into the mix the amount of “yes-men” surrounding that person, who’s only concerns are to make the young star happy so they keep their job, it’s a recipe for disaster.

Athletes often tend to make bad life choices because they never have to grow up. They’ve been fortunate and talented enough to get paid a lot of money, for playing a kid’s game. Entertainers are no different. At the same time, most of them DON’T pretend to be perfect human beings. In fact, quite often some of them even love to play the “bad guy”, to garner more media attention. Whose fault is it that they behave this way? Partially their parents, but many of them seem to come from broken homes. Partially the media is to blame, because when an athlete either makes a mistake or does something stupidly over the top for attention, the media grants their wish and covers it to death, which leads me to society.

These multi-millionaire athletes and entertainers act the way they do because society allows them to get away with it. Sure, every now and then, when a celebrity makes a horrendous mistake, we throw the book at him as to say “No… no!” But, for the most part, it ends up landing the said celebrity a pretty sweet financial deal, whether through a company sponsor, or it puts that person back into the spotlight, and lands him/her a well-paying movie deal. What exactly is the athlete/entertainer’s incentive to correct his/her behavior, when it “pays to be an asshole?”

Like I said earlier… I don’t expect my athletes and entertainers to “do the right thing” when out of the lime-light. I do, however, expect much better behavior from politicians, but rarely get it. These people run for office under the premise that they ARE “a better person” than their opponent. Look at a guy like Rick Santorum. This guy thinks he’s so perfect, he’d make Jesus feel uncomfortable. Is he REALLY as perfect as he paints himself to be? Of course not! In fact, I wouldn’t at all be surprised if, at some point in the future, he gets busted having gay sex in a Minneapolis airport bathroom. Seriously… I’ve never seen anyone more homophobic than this guy!

All of that aside, how many of you hold your elected officials responsible for the lies they tell during the elections? How come you don’t hold these people accountable? Politicians can lie, cheat, steal… simply do pretty much what ever they want once they get into office, because society doesn’t pay attention. People are too busy reveling in the downfall of the latest celebrity or off-the-field antics of some dumb jock.

The next time you get all “up in arms” over some idiot athlete, who got into a fight in some after hours club, simply ask yourself, “Why is this news worthy?” This guy’s behavior hasn’t changed since the time he was a kid, the only thing that’s changed is the size of his bank account. With that action, he is only hurting himself and the people around him.

However… the politician, who gets elected into office, can hurt his entire community, city, state or even country and no one is the wiser for it. He dresses sharp, is clean cut, flashes a smile and repeats the same lines of bullshit his predecessors have been reciting for centuries. Yes… the politicians can get away with selling America and her rights to the highest bidder, so long as they don’t get caught on the receiving end of a blowjob while in the oval office. As we all know, sex is the most heinous of crimes, and must be dealt with severely.

Do I care about the actions or opinions of athletes and/or celebrities? No. Do I care about the actions or opinions of elected officials? Yes! You should too, or before you know it, you won’t even have the right to cheer for the idiot athlete of your choice.
