ATTILA'S BOOK REVIEWS
Attila self-published and released his book "Because You Shouldn't be Afraid to Chase Your Dreams" on August 9, 2011. The book drew excellent reviews. While the main stories focus on 3 important events in Attila's life (band, accident & marriage), the book is filled with short stories from many other things that he's witnessed, or has been a part of. His is a life filled with great highs and bottomless lows. This really comes through for the reader, as he or she will be taken on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. One is never quite sure if he our she is crying from joy or the sadness of certain events. Even though Attila himself is not a religious person, the lift these personal stories can create, is practically at a spiritual level.

Truly Inspirational, August 22, 2011
By Chad L. Simon "jazzsurfer" (Southern California)
"I really enjoyed reading Attila's autobiography. He holds nothing back as he takes the reader on a truthful, unapologetic, inspirational journey through his life and refusal to be defeated by paralysis. His story starts as a young boy growing up under a a brutal Romanian dictatorship to living in an Austrian refugee camp and singing in the prestigious Vienna Boy's Choir. He talks about fleeing to the United States with his family in the early '80s and how he formed a common bond with his American peers through soccer before he learned how to speak English. He discusses how his mother's death affected him as a teenager, his passion for music and former reckless sex, drugs and rock n' roll lifestyle. This all led to the tragic culmination of an event that would drastically change his life forever. Attila's story is a wonderful lesson about how life should be lived to its fullest potential regardless of the circumstances. I would recommend this book to anyone."

A Story to Read...., August 17, 2011
By Juan Carlos Shannon Meléndez
"This is a good book. I have really enjoyed reading the autobiography of Attila Domos. He has had a whirlwind lifestyle since his childhood. A roller coaster of emotions, there are many poignant, happy, and crazy stories in this book. It has many light and dark moments, stemming from childhood pranks to the excesses of the rock and roll lifestyle. However, this is a very empowering book because it shows how one person can deal with different situations. It is entertaining, and a fast-paced, well-structured book, which will leave you wanting to read more. It is written in a simple manner, yet the language is real, coarse sometimes, and a reflection of a veritable and honest voice. If one wants to experience a story of self-empowerment, then this is the book to read."

Who's Afraid of the big bad wolf???, September 7, 2011
By Nikki (Pittsburgh, PA)
"In my opinion, it's incredibly important to surround yourself with good people in your life. People who only want the best for you, and that's what this book is all about. Of course it's important to believe in yourself and your own dreams, but it's just as important to have a support system around you so you don't forget who you are and what you're capable of. This book will help you to learn to live life without the eraser, and push forward with your aspirations. The Lord gives us obstacles, but he also gives us the tools and the resources to overcome them. Discover for yourself!"

"Wow, what a read! I have to say this is a brutally honest book. Some females may be turned off by the language. However, to those "girls" I would like to say, get a gossip magazine about some chick in Holywood you will never meet! This aint for you "Barbie"! Let me say this with heart felt truthfulness. If that is what was being spoken then don't pretty it up for me. I sincerely believe given the authors personality it couldn't have been written any other way. If you have ever met him at any point in his life, you would have seen the ALPHA male in him even at an early age, regardless if it was still in it's building block years or perhaps later on. I enjoyed reading this book because it's not sqeaky clean. It's the good, the bad and sometimes very ugly too. There were parts where I would say to myself, alright, right about now I WANNA HIT YOU! Then I would read on and say "lesson learned" too funny! I have total admiration for anyone who can be that honest with self and then have "THE KAHUNAS" to put it down in writting for all mankind to see. No holding back! If you can be honest with yourself then you are off to an excellent start. Reading about the authors early days as a youngster in Europe particularly the refugee camp experience, I found a complete delight. Not because of his insecurities and hardships at that age but because of the fact that he overcame them. I can certainly relate to being sized up by ignorant moronic people because of the way you look and having to fight to prove yourself. I can't say I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I say, I wish it on everyone! People who go through that experience make two choices early in life. Either to be a coward and back down the rest of their lives or to NOT TAKE ANYONE'S CRAP ever again! It is what separates the boys from the men shall we say. Attila wisely picked the later and this is the key essential ingredient into the beginning of the chicken soup to building a confident alpha male or anyone for that matter! If you don't have these experiences when you are young and everything is made easier for you, your fatal flaw will show itself later in life! Needless to say, we have all encountered these substandard folks from time to time! In my other readings there is something written to the effect of, "Without a foe a soldier NEVER knows his strength!" Foes can come in any shape or form. They may be human or just lifes sudden nasty obsticles. The best and finest are not without dirt on their hands. They are not without imperfections. It is the folks who can come back to fight another day who inspire us all. That is what this entire story is about. Redemtion, coming back and living to fight another day! His mother did him well in naming him Attila. With a name like that you cannot sit around feeling sorry for yourself. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to be inspired. It's a great pick me up for someone who has been through anything that may have tested them. GET UP AND KEEP ROLLING! You can't get there if you just sit here!"

...and his story's not even over yet!, August 22, 2011
By CB Coulter (Pittsburgh, PA United States)
"Attila." Imagine navigating through modern life in the United States of America named "Attila." That's the first thing I thought when I picked up this book - but this guy's got bigger problems. Or does he?
The story of how Attila Domos has faced considerable adversity is beyond just remarkable. Have to live in a refugee camp? Toughen up - and join the Vienna Boys Choir in order to get away during the week. Need to start all over again in a new country and culture? Learn the language through sports (and maybe a few fist fights). Faced with a parent's terminal illness? Seek solace in the love of a close-knit family, and become the lead singer in a rock'n'roll band. Suddenly find yourself in a wheelchair for the rest of your life? Climb a mountain and place first in a marathon.
Apparently, he's only 41. I am already anxious for the next volume."

Very entertaining and inspirational, August 20, 2011

"I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I lived in the Pittsburgh area and played on the same music scene as Attila, albeit a few years prior, so this book brought back many memories. I didn't know Attila personally at the time, but I did see Big Bad Wolf once at Club XTC. I remember telling my friend "This band is OK, but the singer definitely has what it takes - he's a damn good singer and he knows how to work the crowd well. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make it one of these days." I did not know about Attila's accident until I found this book.
This book will take you on a rollercoaster journey of emotions. It exposes human nature at it's best and worst. I found myself near tears one minute and laughing hysterically the next. Attila never seems to miss an opportunity to laugh at himself, which is probably one of the reasons he has managed to persevere and find the success that he has. Many people would withdraw into a pitiful existence in the face of such tragedy, but not Attila. It is said "You can't keep a good man down", and Attila proves that to be true in this book. If this book doesn't leave you with an attitude of gratitude, nothing will."
