Attila wrote articles for Blupela (One World Blue) in the past and wrote all of the lyrics to his music. But "Because You Shouldn't be Afraid to Chase Your Dreams" is his self-written autobiography. Edited by Chad Simon, Attila's book doesn't hold any punches. He tells an honest story of his life without any apologies.
"It's my life and it's how things happened. I hold back nothing because as an artist, being true to the truth is what is most important. Readers and audiences can smell bullshit from a mile away and this is my approach to everything in life," said Domos. "Sometimes I was the good guy, sometimes the bad guy. Sometimes the villain and sometimes the victim. I always try to do the right thing, but I'm also human... ergo... flawed. I'm still learning and will likely never stop. I think that is exactly why we're here in this world. To experience as much as possible."
CHAPTER 1 On the floor and broken

A PEEK INTO THE OPENING CHAPTER
I woke up to find my younger brother Csaba and his friend Markey standing over me and splashing water in my face. “Atti, get up man,” said Csaba. “Are you OK?” I had no idea where I was or what was going on. I was drifting in and out of consciousness. When I came to, my head was resting on the bottom rung of a ladder in an awkward position, while I was lying on my back with my feet facing away from the ladder. I was told there were strange noises coming out of my mouth after I had hit the concrete below, which lasted until I regained consciousness. Csaba and Markey later told me that once they splashed water in my face, I was awake and aware, but I only remember bits and pieces. I do remember being in a ton of pain. I don’t know how long it took before the ambulance had arrived, but according to Csaba, barely more than five minutes had passed from the time he dialed 9-1-1 to when the EMTs rolled their stretcher into the movie theater where my brother worked as a nighttime janitor. That was when the real chaos began. “Sir, can you move your feet for me please?” asked one female EMT. It seemed that everyone was talking to me all at once and I had no idea who to answer. I don’t know the actual number of people behind that movie screen who were talking to me at that moment, but it might as well have been a hundred, that’s how confused I was. I felt like I’d been asleep for years and the minute I woke up, I was given a current events pop-quiz. There were people measuring my blood pressure, taking my temperature, etc… all at the same time. “Sir… please,” said the woman’s voice again, as she tried to make herself be heard over everyone else, “pay attention to me for a minute. Could you move your feet for me, please?” I was in a ton of pain, confused and quite irritated. I’m sure I sounded rather annoyed as I said, “I am!” “OK, we need to get him out of these clothes,” I heard a male voice say, “he’s not responding.” Someone then cut me out of the clothes I was wearing—a T-shirt, gray jeans, white socks and Vans-like shoes.
"Yes, yes, it has sex, drugs, and even rock’n’roll, but I suggest you read "Because You Shouldn’t Be Afraid to Chase Your Dreams" for slightly loftier reasons. Attila Domos chronicles the extraordinary circumstances and events which shaped him into the inspiring man he is today. From membership in the Vienna Boy’s Choir while living in a refugee camp to raising money for spinal cord research by ascending one of Pittsburgh’s notoriously steep hill-hugging streets in his wheelchair, Attila takes the reader on one man’s improbable journey . And the best part? The trip is far from over." - Christina Coulter
